Asunto: [WG: I18N & L10N] i18n Survey

Various international specifications and standards with which to deal with the development of e-learning global software have been proposed by standardization bodies. However, the adoption and effective application of these is a challenging and complicated task. In order to achieve this goal, the University of Murcia Software Engineering Research Group has developed an E-learning internationalization catalog of requirements and a method with which to perform the audit process conforming to this catalog. This survey is framed in the audit method as a part of the tool testing phase.
We expect, on the one hand, to obtain valuable information about the degree to which the Sakai platform complies with the internationalization standards and, on the other, to illustrate part of the aforementioned audit process.
The survey link is http://www.um.es/giisw/limesurvey/index.php?sid=88846
Similar studies will be performed with other LMSs, such as Moodle or Blackboard, and we intend to establish a practical and reliable criterion with which to select the best LMS option as regards support for internationalization.

We are very grateful for your time, and we would very much appreciate it if you could give this survey maximum dissemination throughout your learning community.
