Hope the licensing WG, or others, can help with this or get some
knowledgeable legal help.

AFAICT, law is not easy to translate and therefore translating copyright
is a challenge.

AFAICT, any text with legal intent only has value if it's written in an
official language for the country/region.

I think regions or countries that have only one language for law should
only use a set of copyright types in this language.

I think regions or countries that have several legal languages, and I
think it may be the case for Província de València/Provincia de Valencia
where UPV is, should be able to use more than one set.

I think using more than one set should be a setting that is off by default.

Cheers,

J-F

At these two JIRAs are patches to fix them and, from my point of view, they can be commited as they are backward compatible. Anyway, as copyright and DRM are a sensitive issue, I would like to have your feedback before to procceed. Thus, I will appreciate any comment or additional testing.

> 1. Set your languages preferences to X.
> 2. Create a resource in sakai.resources and set copyright status (in language X).
> 3. Set your languages preferences to Y.
> 4. Access the created resource. Copyright status should be set to the same value (but translated) or, if the transalation is not available, to the original text (in language X).
