[WG: I18N & L10N] 答复: zh-CN problems

Hi,

I finally had time to do more experiments.

After modified both resource bundles and db, I have all translations on the two
figures except "User Membership".

I will test more to figure what is the problem behind "User Membership".

Thanks,

Xue-Feng

Default tools title are internationalized. Just edit tools_XX.properties and
you'll get the titles in each language/locale. Of course, you can modify them
manually to put a custom title. Not sure if this is what you're asking.

You can try the "Welcome" at Administration
Workspace>!gateway>pages>!gateway-100>Welcome.

Hi Yunfeng,

Do you mean tab titles and tools' names can be modified manually?

I was told and saw tools' names can be modified manually, but couldn't find the
way to modify tab titles. Could you please tell more about this? If there are
docs, please give me a link.

If this is the case, then I will search the database to see where they store the
names.

Thanks,

Xue-Feng

Xuefeng,

Got the pics you show, and I assume these tabs' translation could be done by
administration tool. The GUI enables you to modify both the tab names and the
title of the main pages.

Hi David,

Could you please give me the link to JIRA?

Attached are two figures. You can the words which are not translated.

I actually did some homework for this issues.

For the front page, except the including sub-page, there are a few words which
are not translated.

If search those words in all resource files, "Welcome", "About", "Features",
"Training", "Acknowledgements", "Message of the day" can't be found. I couldn't
find "Welcome", "About", "Features", "Training", "Acknowledgements" in
SAK-19707/tools.txt except

sakai.motd Message Of The Day

For the admin page, the story are similar. "Administration Workspace",
"Citations Admin", "mercury site", "MOTD"

"Portfolio Admin" can be found in
/sakai-bin-2.7.1/components/osp-integration-component/WEB-INF/components.xml
    Line 623: <property name="siteTitle" value="Portfolio Admin"/>
    Line 625: <property name="label" value="Portfolio Admin Site Creation"/>

For "Job Scheduler Based On Quartz" and "User Membership", there are some
problems on my side. I will check further.

Hi 云峰,

Could you please tell me which tables store those information?

Thanks both,

Xue-Feng

Then, please JIRA (remember to include Internationalization in component
section) them so that we can handle this and fix it as soon as possible.

Still some words need to be translated in DB.

Hi Xue-Feng,

Probably this is because property files are not up to date and zh-CN translated
files need a review. If you have the resources to do it, I can help you. Just
let me know.

Cheers,
  David

Hi All,

I am new to sakai. I tried to install following the direction from

https://confluence.sakaiproject.org/display/DOC/Sakai+2.7

with zh-CN resources. The installation is successful in zh-CN. However, even in
the first page, there are still some English words, which matches the words in
tools.txt in SAK-19707. I tried SAK-19707, but no luck.

Did I miss something?

Thanks,

Xue-Feng
