[WG: I18N & L10N] Google Scholar i18n question

I am looking for someone to help me with an i18n issue related to sakai's connection to Google Scholar from within the Citations Helper.

Here's the context: At Michigan, when a user does a search in Google Scholar from within the Citations Helper, each item in the search results has a link labeled "Import into CTools". "CTools" is the local branding for Sakai at Michigan. To make this work, we define a key-value pair to associate the key "ctools.umich.edu" with the value "CTools" and then the Citations Helper submits the key "ctools.umich.edu" with each search, and Google uses the value "CTools" in our users' search results.

So far, we have not had anybody request that we insert a value into the Google registry with non-ascii characters. We would like to figure out how to deal with non-ascii characters before somebody actually needs this feature. I'm looking for someone who would help me figure this out. I would like to insert a key-value pair into the registry for testing purposes. Please contact me if you can help with this. It will involve very little time. I will just ask for you to provide a string with non-ascii characters in various formats until we understand what format is needed to make it work with Google. I'm guessing this would be essentially like providing translation for one string.

Thanks.

Jim
