This was apparently causing students' grades not loading. After I un-checked " Weight items by points" and manually assigned the weights for each grade item, the grades were loaded fine. This is the case for all 7-8 sites having the loading issue here. I haven't been able to reverse the process and reproduce the issue but this can be an important clue to debug.
