+1  -- That would be very helpful.  It helps if the profile defines how to format new lines of code or new files and can be applied to small chunks of code in existing files.  But ideally it should not automatically change formatting in existing files unless you apply it intentionally.  I'm guessing that's your intention anyway, but I thought I'd ask.
