There is also a tool called RAT http://creadur.apache.org/ that I played with some time back. It looks promising for a further review.

Subject: [sakai2-tcc] Licensing - SAK-15589

Hi CLE and TCC,

This is a follow up from today's CLE team meeting. I was supposed to contact the Licensing group, the CLE team and the TCC, but I don't have an address for Licensing, so assuming that CLE/TCC will also be inclusive of licensing group. If not true, please point me to licensing group.

Question: Can we close - https://jira.sakaiproject.org/browse/SAK-15589 ? The assumption is that copyright is 75 years from last date of modification, and therefore something we should not worry about for now. The biggest risk is to new files and to files without proper licensing attribution (?). Anthony may have Python scripts that could parse through and identify issues in source. Anthony suggests opening a new ticket which you can see from the comments, and learning from the OAE project.

Thanks,

Neal Caidin
