[cle-release-team] Sakai 2.9 Feature Status

Hi everyone,

I'd like to have a quick (virtual) review of the status of feature request that have been voted and approved for Sakai 2.9 (https://confluence.sakaiproject.org/display/TCC/2011+TCC+Voting+Summary). I think several still need some work to get them into the release:

1. NeoPortal - The chat needs an configuration option to enable/disable, with it disabled by default - I can write a JIRA unless it's already written
2. Soft Delete (SAK-19952) - still pending, but Steve Swingsburg is planning on working with Zhen Qian to commit this
3. MySql 5.1 - I updated the Confluence "Test Instances" page to include a Sakai 2.9 tab (currently empty) -- does anyone have a MySql 5.1 QA instance they can put here?
4. Tomcat 7 & JSF 1.2 - Do we need a JIRA for JSF 1.2? Hopefully we can bring up a Tomcat 7 QA instance soon too?
5. DB2/Websphere deprecation - I can write a JIRA for this unless someone can point me to an existing JIRA
