[Announcements] Invitation: Thursday's Sakai Teaching and Learning Community Update

NOTE:  I'm forwarding a note from Kim Thanos, Communications Manager for 
the Sakai Foundation, regarding a new communication initiative focused on 
helping keeping all "corners" of our community informed on major projects 
that are underway.  It would be great to have folks from the developer and 
designer community (and all others) join us for this update.  Apologies 
for the short notice on this posting.  Josh

to participate see this message.

This Thursday, September 9 at 5pm ET, the Sakai Teaching and Learning 
group would like to invite you to participate in a virtual meeting to 
share updates on the initiatives that the community has put forward. These 
initiatives include:

1.     Continuing leadership of the Teaching with Sakai Innovation Award
2.     Continuing advancement of the learning capabilities design lenses
3.     Sharing best practices and resources in the use of Sakai for 
distance learning
4.     Increasing student engagement in the Sakai community 

Please join us. The session will be shared using a webinar format. Please 
register in advance at https://www1.gotomeeting.com/register/573509936. At 
the time of the the meeting you may access the event through the same url 
but please allow a few extra minutes to receive the connection information 
via email.
