[Announcements] Sakai 2.8 QA Effort

Dear Colleague

There is a window of opportunity where each of us can have a significant impact on the experience of 3 the million Sakai users worldwide. Please consider dedicating a block of time - small or large - to helping improve the quality of the Sakai 2.8 release.

There are two roles in which volunteers will make a significant difference in the quality of the release: functional testers and branch managers.

Anyone in the community can be a functional tester. It requires only a willingness to document issues. Testing for even a few 4-hour blocks of time would be helpful. Basic JIRA experience is helpful but not required.

Branch managers are critically important and require some subversion merging experience.
