Hi all,

I wanted to clarify two things for the group in regards to what Neil Caidin wants from our group. First, he asked for a summation of the accessibility issues that have been fixed for Sakai 2.9.0. He will include this list in the Sakai 2.9.0 release notes. I have included my draft below. I think what Gonzalo is suggesting is needed, but I don’t feel it fits into the format of previous release notes. Instead, I would like to include the intro narrative Gonzalo suggests on the groups Accessibility Status webpage (https://confluence.sakaiproject.org/display/2ACC/Sakai+CLE+Current+Accessibility). I think including a link to this statement in the release notes is the way to go.

The second item Neil requested from our group was and few short talking points/sentences he can use in his Sakai CLE 2.9.0 presentations at Educause. I am drafting some statements and will send those around to the group very soon. Thankx for all your hard work.

Joe,

This list is a great start. I think that a brief intro narrative would set the stage nicely. Something that covers the following very briefly would do:

  1. WAG involvement with the community
  2. WAG involvement in the QA process
  3. Specific challenges that the WAG met. Off the top of my head:

     * brand new portal with a lot of new interactions
     *   CKEditor (big win!)
     * other long standing issues addressed
and then the list.

Let me know what you think. I would offer to help with this but no one seems better suited than you and your team.
