Agenda:

·         Accessibility Review Update

o   Have an "Accessibility Review" QA server up now (http://sakaicle1-trunk.uits.indiana.edu:8181/portal)

§  Will have the first Alpha Tag of Sakai 2.9.0 within the week.

§  Will upgrade the AR-QA server with each new 2.9 Alpha/Beta/Release Candidate tag (probably will drop database each time). Will update server the morning following the new release, will send notice of rebuild to QA and Accessibility email lists.

o   Accessibility Review Timeline

§  In today's release meeting promised to have Accessibility Review Complete by 11/30

§  Promised to have Jira's cut from the issues found in the Accessibility Review by 12/15

§  Will work through tools in order of importance so those tools will get more time for bug fixes

o   Working on writing walkthrough scripts and finalizing reporting templates.

o   Can start accessibility review now, but should review any evaluations made against first Alpha release.

·         Jiras:

o   https://jira.sakaiproject.org/browse/SAK-20631 - Resource Tool "Add" and "Action" menus difficult for screen-reader users to navigate and operate.

§  Turns out jQueryUI menu widget is not in current jQueryUI releases. Might be released in jQueryUI 1.9

§  The jquery.ui.menu.js found in the current release of jQueryUI 1.9pre is quite a bit different than what Kiran started with. Has a dependency of jQuery 1.6.3+ (not currently found in Sakai 2.9)

§  Looking at rewriting jquery.ui.menu.js as custom plug-in that works with jQueryUI 1.8 as found in Sakai currently. Concerned that the menus would be considerably different than the top navigation menus found in the NeoPortal.
