Hello,

Of late, much of the time in the Sakai Accessibility Working Group teleconferences has focused on discussing and working on accessibility bugs that have been reported to the Sakai Jira system. This is great, in that it is helping us make considerable progress on resolving accessibility issues in Sakai, but not so great for the original intent of the Accessibility WG's teleconference and for those aren't interested in listing to the technical discussions that often accompanies discussions about bug fixes.

I'd like to propose a separate teleconference that has a specific focus on Sakai accessibility Jira tickets.

Proposed Agenda:

1. Review Jira Tickets with Patches Applied to Trunk that Need Verified

2. Review Jira Tickets with Patches Needing Applied

3. Review Jira Tickets Needing a Solution or Issue Verification

4. Review New Jira Tickets

5. Ask for Other Concerns

As lead of the Accessibility Working Group, I see my role in the Jira meeting as to update the Jira Discussion Pages in the WG's confluence space before the meeting, facilitate the meeting, and then compile a quick progress summary and send it out to the accessibility list. A quick news/progress update will also be given at the main Accessibility Working Group teleconference.

The Accessibility WG has created pages in the confluence wiki that track progress on accessibility related Jira tickets. There are three so far:
Outstanding Sakai 2.x Accessibility Jira Tickets Discussion:
    http://confluence.sakaiproject.org/display/2ACC/Outstanding+Sakai+2.x+Accessibility+Jira+Tickets+Discussion
Accessibility Fixes from Sakai 2.7 to be Backported to 2.6.x:
    http://confluence.sakaiproject.org/display/2ACC/Accessibility+Fixes+from+Sakai+2.7+to+be+Backported+to+2.6.x
2010 Closed Sakai 2.x Accessibility Jira Tickets:
    http://confluence.sakaiproject.org/display/2ACC/2010+Closed+Sakai+2.x+Accessibility+Jira+Tickets

As a proposed time, I suggest meeting bi-weekly, Monday or Tuesday at 2pm EDT (11 amPDT).

I am eager to receive comments and suggestions on this proposal.
