Hi,

To keep everyone up to date with what has occurred since the last meeting, I am sending this update.

1. Meeting notes as typed up by Mary Stores have been posted to the wiki here http://confluence.sakaiproject.org/display/2ACC/Accessibility+WG+Teleconference+Minutes%2C+12-17-2009

2. We have made contact with the Sakai UX working group in effort to help address accessibility issues early in Sakai 3's development. We received a positive response, and some suggestions on how to get involved / help.

3. Mary has started looking at the Sakai 3 as found on a dev server here: http://3akai.sakaiproject.org/dev

4. Work continues on writing the accessibility statement and accessibility goals. Please note that the current drafts can be found on the working group's wiki.
The draft statement page is here: http://confluence.sakaiproject.org/display/2ACC/Sakai+Accessibility+Working+Group+Accessibility+Statement+Development
The draft goals page is here: http://confluence.sakaiproject.org/display/2ACC/Sakai+Accessibility+Working+Group+Accessibility+Goals+Development

5. A list of accessibility improvements that would be great to address for Sakai 3 (over Sakai 2.x) has been started and is on the wiki. Please feel free to contribute the list! The page for the it is here: http://confluence.sakaiproject.org/display/2ACC/Accessibility+Improvements+that+Could+Be+Seen+in+Sakai+3+over+Sakai+2.x

6. I have collected the templates generated from the accessibility review of Sakai 2.6, and posted them to the wiki as it didn't appear that had been done. I only have access to the completed templates from the evaluations Joe Humbert and Mary Stores did. They are posted as attachments to the Sakai 2.6 Accessibility Review Results page located here: http://confluence.sakaiproject.org/display/2ACC/Sakai+2.6+Accessibility+Review+Results

Sincerely,
  Brian
