Hi,
We are canceling today's Sakai Accessibility Teleconference. If you have updates or issues to report, please send them to the list.
The accessibility working group is going through the results of the accessibility review and filing JIRA tickets. Many of the JIRA tickets have received quick response! To my count, so far 22 accessibility JIRA's have been included in the Sakai 2.8.0 release. Also, it is great to see that several members of the Sakai community have taken the initiative to read the accessibility reviews we've posted and to file JIRAs on the issues. It is great to see the Sakai community working to make sure the Sakai user experience is a great one for everybody!
We will be posting more accessibility review results over the next couple of weeks. Please watch our Sakai 2.8 Accessibility Review pages for these results: http://confluence.sakaiproject.org/display/2ACC/Sakai+2.8+Accessibility+Review
Also, there are several tools still needing a thorough accessibility review. If you are interested in helping with accessibility testing please contact me. It can be a great way to learn more about accessibility issues!
We are currently tracking 60+ accessibility JIRA tickets for Sakai 2.x. We have tracking page on confluence where you can see the status of these JIRAs at: http://confluence.sakaiproject.org/display/2ACC/Outstanding+Sakai+2.x+Accessibility+Jira+Tickets+Discussion
Sincerely,
Brian Richwine
